Revd Robert Borland started the church in a school in the 1870s. The church grew and ended up on St Mark’s Road in 1915. The current church is the second church on the site and was possibly the last church in England to be consecrated before the outbreak of war in 1939.
In 2024 we partnered with St John’s Hampton Wick (the church we used to share a parish with). We are excited about this next step in our history as we move towards a shared vision, uniquely expressed in each location.
Rev Jerry Field is now the Vicar of both St Mark’s and St John’s and Rev Tom Simpson is Minister-in-Charge at St Mark’s whilst remaining part of the team at St John’s.
Our unique vision is to Make Jesus Christ Visible.
We can’t wait to meet you!
